Last Blade Standing (LBS) is a competition for bladesmiths across the United States. Each season, we challenge bladesmiths to create a blade within our parameters within the allotted time frame. The blades are then sent to us, where they undergo extreme testing in a bracket-style competition. Only one winner will emerge! The blades are then auctioned off, with all of the proceeds going to a charity of the bladesmiths' choosing.
Last Blade Standing (LBS) is available on YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok, which is where we do our live streams and post our content. Please follow us on social media if you're interested in watching, and catch up on previous seasons. Last Blade Standing is a grassroots organization created by bladesmiths for bladesmiths. We are not affiliated with any production group or operation.
Testing varies season to season, but there is usually one of each of the following: strength test (chopping something), sharpness test (slicing something), durability test (stabbing something), bend test (bending in a jig), and a random test depending on the build.
We have some amazing sponsors (please see our sponsors page). The winner received a prize package with an estimated retail value of $5000, and a trophy made by the previous season's winner.
